calculatory.app respects your privacy and tries to collect as little information about you as possible. This page explains exactly what data the site sees and how it's used.

What this site collects

Nothing about you, directly.

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type into a mortgage calculator, BMI calculator, or any other tool never leave your device. They are not sent to a server. They are not logged. They are not stored.

The site does collect anonymous usage data through standard web analytics — page views, country (not city), browser type, time on page, referring site. This is aggregate data; it cannot be used to identify you personally.

What runs on these pages

calculatory.app uses two third-party services:

Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics. Tracks anonymous page views and basic usage patterns so I can understand which calculators are useful and which need improvement. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Google AdSense. Once approved, this site will display ads through Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads relevant to you and previous sites you've visited. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google's Ads Settings. Google's full advertising privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

That is the entire third-party list. No retargeting pixels, no behavioral tracking beyond Google's basic ad serving, no data brokers.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for three things only:

  1. Theme preference. A small localStorage entry remembers whether you prefer light or dark mode. Stored on your device; never sent to any server.
  2. Analytics. Google Analytics sets a cookie to distinguish unique visits.
  3. Advertising. Google AdSense (once active) sets cookies for ad personalization.

You can clear or block these cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will continue to work; only the theme preference will reset.

Your rights

If you're in the EU (GDPR), California (CCPA), or any other jurisdiction with privacy regulations, you have the right to:

  • Know what data is collected about you (the answer: see above)
  • Request deletion of any personal data held about you (the answer: none is held)
  • Opt out of analytics and advertising (links above)

Children's privacy

calculatory.app is not directed at children under 13. The site does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, contact hello@calculatory.app and the information will be promptly deleted.

Data retention

There is no personal data to retain. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default settings, which have not been modified.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a new third-party service is added or a privacy practice is updated — the new version will be posted here and the "Last updated" date will change. Material changes will be noted on the homepage for 30 days.
