About these calculators

All tools here are built around US grading conventions: the standard 4.0 GPA scale (A=4.0, B=3.0, C=2.0, D=1.0, F=0), the 5.0 weighted scale used by US colleges for AP and Honors courses, and credit-hour study time based on the US Department of Education credit-hour definition. SAT and ACT calculators reflect the current scoring scales — the SAT (400–1600) post-2024 digital format, and ACT (1–36 composite).

Each calculator runs entirely in your browser. Inputs persist in URL parameters, so you can bookmark or share a specific scenario with a guidance counselor or parent. Save-to-history keeps past calculations locally without an account.
